The Inner Archive functions again, guarded by Moonlit and Forest Shade fighters.But something disturbs the depths of Archive. Moonlit disappear in plain sight, Forest Shade are killed on patrols, and a haze of terror envelops the minds. Fire kin are ready to defend the island, but their enemy evades their sight. Vaina is silencing the problem – she doesn’t want panic among Archive.As the threat grows, another disaster befalls upon the island – a human that noticed Moonlit travellers through their perception magic. Having survived the gatekeeper’s attack, the outsider now has to stay on Keehar – or be killed. Vaina, curious about his ability to see through Moonlit magic, decides to let him live.It is the first time a pure human sets foot on Keehar. Unlike Fire kin shape-shifters, he doesn’t have any instincts or hidden memories attached, and has to learn the Keehar from the very start. He talks about a strange creature that saved him from Sol – he describes it as a gryphon, though others are sceptical. But soon Sol arrives to Archive in search of the trespasser, a large clawed wound on his chest. He confirms that what attacked him was neither another Fire dragon nor a zirf. But there’s hardly time to investigate – Vaina is busy trying to protect her people. Later on Bright sees the gryphon in the darkened corridors of Archive and chases him into the galleries. As he approaches, a nightmarish feeling crawls under his skin. The image of the gryphon becomes a distorted monster that leaps at him, only to be bombarded with blazing fire as Sol, who was watching the outsider, lands next to him. The body of the monster resembles a Moonlit dragon and a basilisk, twisted and horrifying. Vaina and her guards are brought to the scene, and with this begins the story of Archive depths, where Bright is to uncover the source of Memories, their motivation and the ways to stop them.
