While technically Basilisk are one of Moonlit dragon’s metamorphoses, it is appropriate to dedicate a separate spread for them, as both their appearance and lifestyle are very different from those of a Moonlit dragon. Basilisks are large underwater creatures that resemble gigantic serpents and deep sea fish. Reaching over 15m in size, these monsters are a grave threat to anyone entering Keehar waters. After losing their Moonlit form, they are no longer sentient, their memory faded and their mind blank, only instincts guiding them through their last age, the Time of Giving. Their lifespan is unknown, but some speculate that Basilisk it might be comparable to that of their Moonlit form. Every autumn Basilisks migrate north, to the dark underwater caves of Hotom, their breeding ground. Throughout the winter they stay there, guarding the eggs, and as the ice starts breaking, Basilisks return to the ocean, Keehar shores once again encircled in their grip.
